Parents are expected to purchase an iPad, and all required apps, for their child to use in School as part of the School uniform. The iPad you choose to purchase should meet the specifications detailed below. These minimum specifications will be reviewed periodically.
iPad Specifications:
- Full size iPad. Please note that an iPad mini does not meet our specifications; the School does not believe it is suitable for use in the classroom environment.
- The School recommends that parents should consider purchasing the latest generation iPad.
- Supports the most recent version of iPad OS.
- Minimum 32GB storage (the minimum storage will be fine for all School activities, and parents should only really consider a larger capacity device if their child is heavily into photography, videography, design, or gaming).
- Wi-Fi only (not mobile enabled).
- Compatible with an Apple Pencil.
Additional Requirements:
- A suitable protective case which protects the corners and screen.
- An Apple Pencil or equivalent stylus (we recommend one with palm rejection and tilt senstitivity)
- A set of headphones.
- All core and subject specific apps.
- You may wish to consider purchasing insurance for that includes accidental damage. Please check that you are covered for School use – some policies only cover domestic use. Please note that most policies do not cover loss.
